Bart Owens

Barton Owens Jr aka Bart has been a Lake Cherokee resident since 2003.  Bart has practiced Veterinary Medicine in the Longview/ East Texas area since graduation from Texas A&M in 1979. He has been a co-owner of West Loop Animal Hospital and more recently  a Medical Director.  Bart was the founding president of the East Texas Pet Emergency Hospital in Longview.  He has also served  on the Board of Directors of the Cherokee Water Company.  Bart  has been active in The Lake Cherokee Preservation Club where he has co-chaired every Wet and Wild Boat Rally,which has funded many activities and improvements on the lake.  Bart and his wife Judy’s favorite times are when the family gathers at the lake especially Christmas and the Fourth of July.  Along with their five grandkids and their adult children Bart and Judy enjoy fishing, water sports, swimming hanging out at the dock and participating in the annual Boat Parade.
